Casting the Net – Is It Time for YOUR Close Up?

Casting the Net – Is It Time for YOUR Close Up?

There’s a key to casting for a movie, well certainly in the case of a love story. It’s Chemistry. It’s a special potion for which we can’t define a formula, a stunning image that appears miraculously and inexplicably in the eye of a camera, an indefinable moment of pure magic that lights a screen and enchants us as an audience.

Well that’s what I’ve learned recently from Nicole Conn, whose love stories have become the best selling lesbian movies of all time – and for whom the excitement and anticipation of the casting process is one of the most enjoyable parts of the movie making process. And one of the things Nicole is known for, is finding new talent and developing roles that will help women shine. She did it most recently in A Perfect Ending, this year’s sexiest movie (Curve Magazine’s view on it) and now the best selling lesbian film ever – by casting one of its leads, Jessica Clark, after discovering her on Facebook.

So when Nicole asked me to Executive Produce her next movie She Walks in Beauty, I figured a great way to make that even more exciting, would be to make the casting process open to anyone, including those who may never previously have had the opportunity to apply for an audition. We are literally casting the net worldwide to find a new movie star.

The new feature is an epic tale of two women across two centuries, whose stories are each an echo of the other. Two stories of love, lust, loss and ultimately redemption, the first set in the fast paced hedonism of contemporary LA, the other in the louche literary set of 1920’s Paris. With fascinating, complex characters, the story is woven with Nicole Conn’s typically intricate absorbing style. These are roles to be relished.

So if you think you have what it takes to feature on the big screen, if you believe you have that chemistry, whether you have acting experience or not – than we want to hear from you. All you have to do is visit www.shewalksinbeautymovie.com and find out more about the movie and the roles and tell us why this is the time for your close up.

We can’t wait to hear from you…
