Jody Cole fell in love with Africa in 1998 and started sharing her love of Africa with groups in 2004. Her passion, love and respect for this continent is evident in every aspect of the trips she plans. Jody’s goal is to give you an intimate, informed, one-of-a-kind vacation. From the plants and animals to the people and culture of Africa, she shows you the real Africa with a trip customized with your safety, comfort and activity level in mind. You’ll return home with lifelong memories, amazing photos and friendships, old and new. Check out this amazing video from our recent trip.
I am also quite taken with Jody’s commitment to giving back.
She says: “Giving back deepens our appreciation and understanding of the delicate balance between historic Africa and modern Africa. We participate in local sustainable projects as an expression of gratitude to our host country, to balance the impact of tourism on the local economy, as well as create a feeling of good will between our guests and the individuals we interact with during our stay in Africa.”
Wild Rainbow African Safaris supports the following organizations in many ways—through visiting them on our safaris, by cash or in-kind donations, and/or hands on participation.
- SAVE THE ELEPHANTS
- DAVID SHELDRICK WILDLIFE TRUST
- CHEETAH CONSERVATION FUND
- WILDLIFE CONSERVATION NETWORK
- END ILLEGAL WILDLIFE TRADE
- VARIOUS LOCAL SCHOOLS AND ORPHANAGES
There are many upcoming trips worth checking out. The Sober South African Safari is an awesome upcoming trip in September. Its a 10 day trip that starts and ends in Johannesburg, and spends quality time in Krueger National Park and Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. In regards to the Sober Safari, Jody says:
“I am doing it because I want to be in Africa with people I can relate to. It is such a moving experience that I can’t imagine a group that would get it more than a bunch of recovering people practicing a spiritual program. Africa grabs your heart.”
