Every once in a while there is a special love story captured on film that really speaks to my heart. But, as a lesbian, 99% of the time I have to use my imagination to enjoy love scenes (with opposite sex lead actors) and find them sexy. Simply put, there are not enough lesbian love stories out there. Writer/director Nicole Conn is working hard on changing that in her newest effort by Soul Kiss Films: A Perfect Ending. Starring Jessica Clark, Barbara Niven and with Morgan Fairchild and John Heard, this film is sure to touch your heart. Like you, I haven’t seen it yet. But I believe in Nicole’s work and wouldn’t miss this premier for the world. Nicole describes the film as a mature love story with sex scenes that will blow your mind. In her most recent film, Elena Undone, the actresses were stunningly beautiful and had extremely good chemistry, so I don’t find it hard to believe that A Perfect Ending will be great. I was on the set during a portion of the filming of this new movie, and the energy amongst the cast and crew was electric. More on my visit to the set here. Don’t miss this video I took of Nicole, her mom and a hilarious and embarrassing unscripted moment on the set.
I am so excited about this film that I invited the cast and crew to party it up Epochalips style earlier in the evening of the World Premier at Frameline Film Festival in San Francisco on Thursday June 21st at 5:30 pm at Cafe Flore. The film screens at 9:30 pm at the nearby Castro Theater.
Nicole Conn is a Writer/Director/Mother who resides with her life partner, Marina and their family of six (wonderful if precocious) children in Los Angeles. Her penchant for adult and dramatic story telling is evident in latest feature film, Elena Undone touted as “sexy and smart and smoldering.” This classic romance with a twist, also hosts the Longest Kiss in Cinema History, a claim veteran lesbian writer Nicole Conn’s (Claire of the Moon, little man) is thrilled to be held by two women. “A Perfect Ending,” her newest feature which she wrote and directed, is based on a story idea from her life and film partner, Marina Rice Bader. Bader and Conn are partners of Soul Kiss Films (Empowering Women One Film at a Time). Check out the Elena Undone site and Buy it now at Wolfe Video.
